Jake becomes Blood

Hey Claguey here with the next part of the story sorry it took so long Blood would have written this part but he said he couldnt live through it a second time so im writing

Jake told us about the day he watched as his old life crumbled to ash the final moments still vivid in his memory. The screaming, the blood, the sword and the explosion. Nightmares still haunt blood now. But to learn about our adventures you need to know his past.

“Happy birthday!!!” the crowd chorused as he entered the room. Jakes mum appeared around the corner a bottle of Budweiser in one hand and a pointed hat in the other she handed him the first and put the second onto his head. He had waded through the group of people congratulating him and patting him on the back till he finally found the sofa hidden away in the sea of party goers. Billy talent blared over the speakers of the HD surround sound, the cramped little room stunk of cheese and onion crisps and cheap beer.

It was just as the final guest left that the world went upside down.

The roof caved in and Jake rolled under the table his family were in the kitchen and were safe for now. From the rubble emerged a man who seemed to exceed 7 foot. In one hand he held a sword that seemed about 2metres long in the other was the head of a man the mouth open in an endless scream the eyes still open and in them was eternal terror amongst a maelstrom of blue. Jake watched in horror as the man raised the decapitated head to his lips and lapped the fresh blood from the wound. The man had drained the head of blood and set out to find the body amongst the rubble. Jake searched for a weapon, a pole or a bottle anything he could use to defend himself. A piece of glass from the shattered window’s lay on the floor beside him. Slowly sneaking behind him makeshift weapon in hand Jake attacked the man running the glass into his neck where it met his back. It melted against an invisible heat and Jake staggered back.

“Who are you?” the words escaped Jakes mouth before he could stop them. “What are you?”

“You want to know WHAT I am? “The blood sucker stepped closer “I am a creature of nightmares, I lurk in the shadows to slay those who reject us, I’m a blood vampire” with each word Jake took a step back and the creature took one forward. “And do you know what I’m going to do now?” in what seemed to be a single stride the vampire had cleared a distance of 4 feet and pinned Jake to a wall. The grip was crushing any tighter and Jakes shoulder would crack. Its head was beside his neck the tip of its sword above his heart “I’m going to kill you” he pronounced each word slowly and purposefully like they could kill him by themselves. He drew back the blade.

I remember Blood told me he thought he would die and in a way he did well the old him did anyway. The next moments blurred together so I’m filling in the gaps for him.

Jake lashed up and struck him on the inside of his arm. The vampire lost his grip and jack dropped to avoid the blade that passed through the air where his head once was, kicking out at the blood vampire’s knees Jake toppled the inhuman and made a break for the corpse that it was trying to drain of blood. The neck and shoulders were buried under the rubble so he couldn’t see the gruesome wound. On its back was a array of sheathes and blades he unbuckled a blood red bastard sword, the blade patterned with gold filigree the handle was wrapped in blued leather and the pommel a black diamond orb. It was a beautiful blade and he would of stopped to admire it if not for the vampire running towards him sword coming down in wild slashes. Jake had learned about fencing in school and was able to block the first few attacks but only barely. With each attempt the swings grew faster, when the blade was just a grey blur Jake countered twisting his body so the blade buried into the ground. Jake threw his weight into the pommel and ran the blade through the vampire’s heart he kept pushing, the vampire moving back until the red sword pierced the stone. A dark flame burst into life on the stolen sword, the flame carried though the blade and onto Jacks hand the air around jack caught light and he felt a rush of new power run though him.

“You were wrong.” His voice was full of power and barely had to whisper to speak over the roar of the fire. “It’s you who is going to die.” The flame erupted into a crescent moon that cut straight through the vampire and the stone behind it. Eventually the flame dissipated and Jack was left standing there half a vampire on either side of him a beautiful sword and an aura of black fire surrounding him. A pain shot through him radiating from the point over his heart where the diamond pommel had hit him when he threw his weight against the sword. The flame began to grow larger until through the incandescent flame Jake would have been barely visible. He ran from the house the flame following him like a swarm. It devouered something in his soul he felt unimaginable pain as a part of him was ripped away and destroyed, his blood boiled in his veins and he felt like the world would colapse in on him. He fell to his knees the dark fire erupting from every pore then . . .

                                                                    . . .Scilence. . .

Suddenly the flame imploded the dark fire rushing back into Jakes now lifeless body. In one hand is the sword he stole in the other was nothing.

He awoke as vampire not like the one he had killed that survived on blood. . .  no he was a new vampire. Born of dark fire. he says when he awoke he felt first not for the blood that pulsed through the veins of humans but for the darkness that lies in their hearts.
